SRH vs CSK IPL Match : After being put in to bat first, CSK got off to a steady but relatively slow start, scoring 33/1 in the powerplay. Openers Ravindra and Gaikwad laid a decent platform, with Gaikwad being the more aggressive of the two. However, Ravindra was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar in the 4th over after a promising start.
The middle overs saw CSK accelerating, thanks to a blistering knock from Shivam Dube. He took the SRH spinners apart, smashing them for boundaries at will. Dube’s 45 off just 24 balls gave CSK’s innings the much-needed impetus. Rahane, at the other end, played a supporting role, scoring a steady 35 off 30 balls.
However, SRH managed to pull things back in the death overs by clever use of cutters and variations. Cummins dismissed the dangerous Dube, while Rahane also fell, trying to force the pace. The innings lost momentum towards the end, with CSK managing only 50 runs in the last 6 overs, finishing at 165/5.

SRH vs CSK IPL Match : SRH came out all guns blazing in the chase, with openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head taking the CSK bowlers to the cleaners. Abhishek Sharma’s blistering 37 off just 12 balls gave SRH a blazing start in the powerplay. Even after his dismissal, Head and Markram continued the onslaught, scoring at over 11 runs per over in the first 9 overs.
CSK did manage to pull things back slightly in the middle overs through some tight bowling from their spinners Jadeja and Theekshana. Head fell to the latter after a brisk 31, while Markram scored a fine 50 before being dismissed by Moeen Ali.
However, any hopes CSK had of making a comeback were quickly dashed by Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive cameo. He smashed the CSK bowlers to all parts, finishing off the chase in the 19th over with a flurry of boundaries.
SRH ultimately chased down the target of 166 with relative ease, thanks to their explosive start in the powerplay which deflated the CSK bowling attack. CSK’s inexperienced bowling lineup struggled to contain the aggressive SRH batters on a good batting surface.
