RCB vs RR IPl Live

RR vs RCB IPL Live: The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is set to host a high-octane clash between the unbeaten Rajasthan Royals and the struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 19 of the IPL 2024 season. Rajasthan have made a blistering start, winning all three of their matches so far, while RCB find themselves in a familiar position of early struggle with just one win from four games.

Adding an extra element of intrigue, the Royals will be donning special all-pink matchday kits as part of their ‘PinkPromise’ initiative to support the women of Rajasthan. On the field, they have been led by a resurgent Riyan Parag with the bat and a potent bowling attack spearheaded by Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult.

RR vs RCB IPL Live: In contrast, RCB’s batting has lacked consistency, while their bowling has failed to execute plans effectively so far. The big-hitting duo of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis will be keen to lead RCB’s fightback, supported by the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green. Mohammed Siraj and Reece Topley will spearhead the bowling unit.

With Rajasthan holding a slender 15-12 lead over RCB in their head-to-head IPL record, the upcoming contest promises to be a cracker as the hosts look to extend their winning start, while RCB aim to get their campaign back on track. The match timings are set for 7:30 PM IST and local time.

RR vs RCB IPL Live Match Preview

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Match Preview

Royal Challengers Bangalore find themselves in a familiar position of struggle early in the IPL season. With just one win from their first four matches, Faf du Plessis’ side is already facing an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Their batting has lacked consistency, while the bowling unit has failed to execute plans effectively. Facing the unbeaten Rajasthan Royals away from home in Jaipur will be a daunting challenge for RCB, especially given Rajasthan’s formidable home record.

The conditions in Jaipur, with the big ground dimensions and two-paced pitches, could further expose RCB’s vulnerabilities with the bat. Most of their batters prefer pace on the ball, which could play into the hands of Rajasthan’s bowling attack. While RCB’s bowlers might find some assistance from the surface, they will also have to contend with Rajasthan’s potent batting lineup. This batting vs. bowling matchup could ultimately decide the outcome of the game.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Match Preview

Rajasthan Royals have made a blistering start to the IPL 2024 season, winning all three of their matches so far. Their bowling attack continues to be their strongest suit, while the resurgence of Riyan Parag has added an extra dimension to their batting unit. With Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal yet to find their best form, Rajasthan’s batting could become even more formidable once these two star openers hit their stride.

The Royals have regained their winning ways at home in Jaipur after stumbling there last season. Their bowlers, particularly Sandeep Sharma, have enjoyed great success against RCB in the past, with Sharma dismissing Virat Kohli seven times in just 67 deliveries. Given their convincing win over Mumbai Indians in their last match, Rajasthan are likely to field an unchanged side and will fancy their chances of extending their unbeaten run against RCB.

RR vs RCB Toss Update

Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and have opted to field

RR vs RCB What are the captains saying?

Faf du Plessis: We were thinking of the same, it looks a good wicket, think it will remain the same in both the innings. We have one change in our batting line-up. For me it’s just a case of trusting our guys. We have been inconsistent, we get an opportunity to do things better. We are trying to find the roles for the players, we are looking for that. That hasn’t worked as yet. We haven’t delivered. Not many people know him (Saurav Chauhan), he has some serious amount of skill and batting power, looks like a nice and calm guy.

Sanju Samson: We would like to bowl first on this wicket. Something to do with the opposition, it’s a fresh wicket, expecting some help for the seamers and expecting some dew as well. It’s a long season, people are taking responsibility and finishing games. We are going in with the same team.
