Indian Premier league (IPL) is the famous T20 format of cricket played in India. It is known for having explosive batsmen from around the world who keep the fans engaging by hitting the ball out of the boundary right from the start. The record for Highest powerplay partnership in IPL as the name says is for the duo who had hit the highest runs within the first six overs. Powerplay in T20 cricket is referred to the first first 6 overs of the game where only 3 out of the 10 fielders are allowed to field outside the 60 yards circle. This gives the batsmen a good opportunity to strike 4s by just hitting the ball over the fielders.
Many batsmen take this as an opportunity to give a solid opening to their team. Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine hold the record for Highest Powerplay when they scored 105 runs in mere 36 balls in 2017 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru
